Are you a “doer”? Being a doer means you really experience the Word, not just read it or hear it on Sunday mornings. Mark Batterson in his book “All In” says -“If you aren’t doing it, then you REALLY DON’T KNOW IT.” Are you a spectator at church or are you actively participating? Are you building relationships in a small group or Sunday school, or just a passing minute conversation before or after church service? He created us to have relationships & we should worship Him with blood, sweat & tears - everyday. At home, at work, and at church.
Thank you Father for Your goodness, Your Love, Your healing, Your strength, Your mighty works.... For Your ________________ (leave a word in comments of something to tell Him you’re thankful for!)

Who is your architect & builder?

He is a consuming fire! Have you allowed Him to consume EVERY area of your life? When our hearts are open to Him, when we confess our deepest & darkest secrets, when we truly say “Father, expose the hidden things in my heart & correct me now,” at those moments we grow deeper with Him & get to experience an intimate, deeper & rewarding life! Our worship is more free, our burdens become lighter & our joy becomes brighter!
Happy Easter! He Is Risen! There is ALWAYS HOPE, no matter your circumstance! He died for you, live for Him.
I’m a child of God, how about you?!
Darkness fell, His friends scattered, hope seemed lost. But Heaven just started counting to three! ~ Bob Goff
We exercise & grow our faith when we are going through difficult or hard times or when things are not going our way and we continue to choose to give, to serve & to honor Him. We past the test when we don’t understand everything that is happening or the frustrations that come our way, but we continue to be faithful in our walk with Him. If God can’t trust you in the wilderness, how can He trust you with the promise land?
How do we respond to God’s discipline? Some of us cry a lot. It seems so unfair and unreasonable. God should give us a break because we have such a difficult life as it is. Some of us get angry at the discipline—the things we face. Others seem to get by with a lot less discipline. We get angry at God for the seeming unfairness. Some of us get discouraged and stop. The discipline never has a chance to produce the fruit of righteousness that it was intended. We stop before the fruit is grown. As a result, we have a bad taste in our mouths about God’s discipline. But if we let it do its work, it produces amazing results. Let God’s discipline train you, mold you, develop you and make you. It is worth it. Heb 12:7-11 “Running The Race of Faith” Prayer Father, I pray for every one of Your children. You discipline all of us. It is different for each of us because You have a different destiny for each of us. Help us Your children today to humble ourselves under Your discipline. Give us the strength to not get discouraged, angry, upset or even rebellious. Protect our hearts and strengthen us to follow You and build into us some beautiful, bountiful fruit. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Those who have good Fathers know that he would discipline you when you did wrong to get you back on track. It was painful, but necessary. Just as our Heavenly Father will discipline us - they both discipline because they only desire the best for us. "My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives."” Hebrews 12:5-6 ESV Pray - Father, is there anything that is taking my focus off of Jesus in my walk of faith? I would rather be corrected with a gentle rebuke rather than something more painful. So give me a heart that listens to You. Give me ears to hear, eyes that see and a heart to obey. Take away anything in me that is not pleasing to you. Purify me Father! In Jesus Name, Amen!
I heard something a long time ago that is really convicting - if you dwell on something (good or bad), if you talk about the issue, problem, item etc - if anything is consuming your thoughts & time more than your focus on Christ, you’ve got the wrong King on the throne. Remember in bad times or great times, it all belongs to Him! He blesses, He protects, He stretches & grows us as we need to be - He has our best interest at heart! So whatever you are going through, be sure to give Praise, be sure to Pray, just talk to Him & trust His plan. He is the Almighty!
The church body functions properly only when every member is doing its part. To Paul, the church is a community of redeemed people in which each person is actively involved in doing the work of ministry. The pastor is not the minister—at least not in the way we typically think of a minister. The pastor is the equipper, and every member of the church is a minister. Most Christians can give a number of reasons why they cannot or should not disciple other people: “I don’t feel called to minister.” “I just have too much on my plate right now; I don’t have time to invest in other people.” “I don’t know enough.” “I’ll start once I get my life in order.” As convincing as these excuses may seem to us, Jesus’s commands don’t come with exception clauses. He doesn’t tell us to follow unless we’re busy. He doesn’t call us to love our neighbors unless we don’t feel prepared. God made you the way you are; He has provided and will continue to provide you with everything you need to accomplish the task. Jesus commands you to look at the people around you and start making them into disciples. Obviously, only God can change people’s hearts and make them want to become followers. We just have to be obedient in making the effort to teach them, even though we still have plenty to learn ourselves. * What excuses tend to keep you from following Jesus’s command to make disciples? What do you need to do in order to move past these excuses?
